| Hmmm....Going out for a pub meal tonight but i really don't want to fall off the wagon! The week just gone i had been really naughty and it had taken so much for me to get my motivation back to stick to the plan! that and ~~Mountain-Maiden~~ has helped me ALOT!!!! i have no choice but to go but i know that if i stumble it will be very difficult to get back on again!!! i guess you could say im a little scared... Im thinking that if i have to have a meal that isnt the bast thing ever, i should stick to chicken? Im thinking chicken without the added sauces!!! and salade or veges instead of the chips. To drink i have to have something diet but im sure they dont sell anything low calorie at the pub...Lol Does anyone have any tricks or hints on this? Oh and my Mum is taking a huge mud cake slab that she has orderd from the Cheese cake shop! MMMMMmmmmm YUMO!!!!! i really need to be strong!

ohh what a compliment glad to have helpedok what to do you ring up first and tell them your dietitian put you on a diet and you need to know tonights menu, and would you be able to preorder so that you dont need to let everyone else know (most places will do that for you) Then you go through the menu, and you know what veges you can have, and you can have 120g of meat/protien ask how they make the sauce that you decide on, and perhaps have it on the side now if they wont cut the meat to a smaller peice, then give a hunk of it to hubby keep in mind, fish can be decieving, and 120g can be quite large if its flattened. Chicken (without the skin) is always going to be smaller. So depending on what you feel like, and what the pub is like that your at, i would go for somethign like fish/chicken with salad small steak (probably rib fillet) with mushroom sauce on the side (you dont want it on your meat) and tell them the veges you want but just remember you can go through the menu, then ring them and request a special order for danielle, when you give your order for tea, you just say, meal for danielle its already been ordered, and they will know - and none of the other guests will know Just remember you dont have to eat it all. Have some icy cold jugs of water in front of you also, and make sure you have a couple of glasses of water before dinner also. Enjoy your wine / beer, with dinner, and go back to your water again -- and have a lovely evening

| if you drink blonde i think it is, you are allowed that, hang on i will look in the book here we are page 30 - 1 glass of wine (120ml) spirits - 1 nip or pure blonde or hahn super dry low carb beers - 1 bottle 330-355 so you could have a shandy if you drink beer, - they will have lite lemonade, or soda water. so you could get a jug of diet lemonade too (they should have diet drinks, to accomodate for the diabetics that come in for meals Ohh your alcohol is one of your weekly treats remember

| hey there ~~Mountain-Maiden~~ thanks for the advice, unfortunitly i slipped and ate the cake...Lol - However i didn't stuff myself silly! which i usually do when i go out... I took your advice and drank as much water as i could, was lucky to make it home without wetting myself!!! The meal was really yummy but i decided to go for the salad instead of the veges, they only had baked vegies so i thought that salad would be a much healthier choice.
