Hi,

I had my week 8 weigh-in this morning and somehow I managed to put on 0.1kg. I haven't lost any cm's either. I have no idea how this has happened as I stuck to the program to the letter. This is also the first week that I haven't had any wine. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to kick-start the weight loss again as I am very disappointed.

I've been drinking about 3 litres of water a day and I have been doing this every week since I started TF 8 weeks ago so it is not lack of water. Also, it is week 2 of my menstrual cycle so it unlikely to be fluid retention.

Goodluck and keep motivated!

Hi Lici, don't get disheartened by this little bump.  If you are using the fibre maybe its just a bit of fluid retention due to that, or maybe the weather is causing it.  I know I have been holding fluid with all this stormy weather around.  You will probably find tomorrow it will be gone.  Other than that, keep up what you are doing. It all sounds pretty much spot on.

Me giving it another go!!! Thanks Mally

Try not to get disheartened.  After all it is only 100 gram. Next week you'll have lost again, keep at it.

I agree with the others - if you're doing everything right then I would imagine it's just a "glitch in the system".  Next week will correct itself I'm sure.

Stay strong

Hi,
Yes I did the same last week. Kept right on track all week last week and put on 0.3kgs. I used to go to WW years ago and I remember the same thing happening and was told that your body goes into starvation mode if you have the same food all the time. My advice is to try some of the lovely recipes on site but still keeping to the programme. Lots of ideas on the site.

I did that this week thanks to Mally sending me an email with great recipes in it . I tried some and lost 1.5kgs this week.

Hmm, maybe seeing your GP about thyroid or other medical issues? I was also told that if you stop losing the weight that you can replace a serve of fruit with a serve of protein. Good luck!
