Hi
I came across a tin of Black Soy Beans in my cupboard...and whilst an Australian Nutrition label had been placed over the original I managed to find it on the internet.
http://www.edenfoods.com/store/images/products/nlea/103050.gif
The australian label seems to have deducted the dietry fibre from the total carbohydrate quantity...thus making the carbs per serve at 1g net carbs
When I did Atkins diet we were advised to deduct the dietry fibre from the carb total and that gave us net usable carbs.
Can you please advise what system you use to determine carb total??
Also the GI Index level for Black Soy Beans is only 19......and the carbohydrate level very low....are these allowed on the diet???
Thank you for your time.

Dear Vixxsin ~ Take 2 ~, Thank you for your enquiry. In regards to the system we use to determine carbohydrate total, we count the total carbohydrates without deductions from anything. We believe it isn’t necessary as carbohydrates (small amounts) are allowed on our Program. As for the Black Soy Beans, the kilojoules are fairly high being 500 kJ for ½ Cup. The carbohydrates aren’t too bad but because the kilojoules are high it isn’t recommended. At the end of the day if you really wish to consume this product you can however, it may slow your weightloss down for that week. Enjoy and please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further enquiries. Kind regards, Angela TF
