Hi,

I'm 21 years old and had my son in April. 7mths later and I am still unable to lose the weight i gained in pregnancy. I am considering trying TF to help me move this excess weight. Is anyone else doing TF to lose babyweight? Is is working for you. I feel bad as i worked for years to stay at around 55-60kgs but within 9mths i just ballooned! I really want to get my body back. IF anyone can tell me how they are going with TF and how it is working for them.

THANKS! xx

If you can call my weight baby weight after nine months, then yes, I am doing tf to lose baby weight. I put on heaps and heaps and heaps of weight with my last pregnancy (close to 30kgs!!) and started tf with 10-15kgs of that left. I just couldn't seem to budge it. In 4 weeks I have lost almost 5kgs, and have only this to say:

TF works! It is restrictive, repetitive, rewarding. You have to try to forget that most food exists and just eat the basic same thing every day with your shakes or soup. Make sure you have a plan for when you finish TF. Don't think that you can launch back into potato bakes, pastas, fast food etc. or the fat will just come back.-

TF is really teaching me about portion control and carbohydrate control- being a carb lover, I need this education.

I am under no illusions as to why TF works- we are really limiting our carb intake which forces our body to burn fat for fuel. So, if you stick to it, that is what will happen.

Go for it- I am sooooooooo glad I finally did!

Hey babyfat, how i can so relate to what you are saying - I dont know about you, but ohh boy do i envy those woman who go back into their pre baby shape within 48 hours of having their babies, i sit there and think, what about me - why cant i do that   But hey, it takes all sorts to make the world go around, and that comes in sizes too, and i along with loads of others, are doing the exact journey you are doing with tf -- Im here to lose the weight my baby left behind I want the whole 33kg gone!!

Have a look through the forum and the threads, and you will find inspiration in so many places and do not be afraid of jumping into the threads and saying g'day, or to ask questions or even just to have a yak.

When i first begun the tf journey i did have my doubts of it working, but i had tried everything i knew of to get back into shape, and nothing worked - i'd lost weight but i was stuck with this 33kg that i couldnt budge, I didnt expect a miracle nor did i really expect tf to work, but i had my hopes it would.

It wasnt long after i found this forum to find insperation in the before during and afters, and then to see peoples graphs in their signatures to see how all the little amounts added up, and the transformation in peoples self esteem etc in their pics, well that really showed.  I still dont expect miracles, but i can tell you that bit by bit tf is helping me make wise choices with my eatting.  The forum provides me with loads of receipes to stop food boredom, the people doing the journey and sharing their stories boost my self esteem and let me know that all the little steps add up and do count

Ohh and that plateau where i was stuck with that 33kg, well it aint stuck any more, its shifting, my body shape is changing and i can feel a difference.  I still have a long way to go but im happy if i can see theres a change - least i am no longer stuck and i am eatting healthy, my skin is clean, clear and glowing and tf reminds me that i have to drink my water and bit by bit i am shrinking  .

I also had my little boy in April, and 5 months after starting TF I'm a kilo lighter than when I fell pregnant. It definately works! I put on 28kg whilst pregnant so I didn't exactly have a small amount to loose but it's all gone now TF doesn't HAVE to be repetative, there are heaps of recipes and you can always change things around a bit. They key is being willing to experiment. TF is very repetative for me but that's because I don't bother looking for other things to do. I find a pattern that works for me and stick to it lol.

But you can always find new ways to do things and there are people on the forum who have brilliant ideas all the time

Hello I can relate to the baby weight too. With my first pregnancy I put on around 30kgs and went from my stable 60kgs up to 90. Lost 10kgs immediately and was around 75 when I fell pregnant the second time only 5 months after the first baby was born.. I only put on 10kgs this time which pretty much went straight away but being so busy with 2 kids under 2 I didnt find the time to lose it and a little more crept on.

I was on TF earlier in the year and lost 8 kgs, the weight loss is a little slower this time but I am feeling fitter from lots of exercise and healthy food, have lost a fair amount of cms from my waist and hips and my skin is so clear and bright. So yes it does work, yes you have to be quite strict but you can make lots of yummy food. Last night I had chicken breast (measured portion) stuffed with garlic and herbs, made a bruschetta mix (no oil) to go on top and had a big salad with it.

The forum is great for keeping motivated, join a challenge or set your own. And BELIEVE!
