Hi Guys

I have a coffee date with a few friends at a coffee shop, and other than diet coke or water, what are the best options to drink that will not stuff up my TF weight loss program? Im not a coffee or tea drinker really anyway, normally I go for a big hot choc which im assuming is a bad choice, would a black tea with fake sugar be the best?

If you're not a coffee drinker, how about a herbal tea?  And yep, even black tea with 'fake' sugar is going to be a better choice any day that hot choc!  You could even order a tall glass of water or soda water with a ice and a wedge of lemon in it, or even a glass of vegetable juice.

If you don't normally do coffee I would just go a hot choccie with skim milk.  That's probably not the best advise, but life is for living and it's one coffee date right?    Or if you're brave, go black.... coffee, tea, herbal or the likes.

If you choose hot chocci with skim you can always 'make up for it' somewhere else.  I'm shocking at socialising and being diet girl at the same time.

Just say no to the *and cake* part of it and enjoy your day :o)

Thanks

It's one of those situations when you have a coffee date with skinny friends who would never go on TF, so many people judge you on this diet, its almost easier to lie and say "I'm full" so they don't push dessert and carbs down your throat!

Jessica, I'm not doing TF anymore for exactly that reason. I found it difficult socially and it's not in my nature to just keep mum about it if someone asks.

Enjoy your coffee date and just have what you want in a small portion so as not to blow it out entirely.  One hot choccie won't really blow the TF bank.  The danger is often when we have a taste we want more, but if you can be strong - just enjoy the time withyour girlfriends

ohh gosh with this heat, why not go for a mineral water - lemon lime & bitters etc, or a diet softdrink
