I hope you have planned to go to a pool or to the movies or something to keep cool today

Thank goodness it got a bit cooler here last night, and is still cooler this morning (about 25), i really hope it doesnt heat up today, i have had enough of the heat atm.
Its getting a bit scary with all of the fires that have been popping up during the week with the dry lightening as well as the spot fires caused by combustion - luckily people are vigiliant and keeping a good lookout so they are getting put out rather fast
Hows that heat going in sydney?

Errrrgh I dont know what it is, but for some reason I cannot cope in the QLD heat as much as the Adelaide heat, must be the humidity. I can handle up to 38deg in Adelaide, but 27 degrees and up in QLD is torture.
When I was 6 months pregnant, Adelaide had a heat wave of over 44+ and I was living in my parents place, with no air-con, my room temperature was 51 degrees!!! Dad had to go out and buy a refridgerated portable air-con which got my room down to 38....which was bareable.
I was watching the 7pm report show the other day and they interviewed the mayor of Cloncurry in FNQLD and he was saying its 48 degrees in the shade. Geepers. They asked him what time does the air-con get turned on, he replied with 'From September through to March' ..LOL I thought that was funny.
