| hey there, well completed my first week on Tony Ferguson... I weighed in today and lost 1.2 kgs !! I am happy of course, but was wondering what is considered a good loss, it has been a tough week and was hoping for a little more.. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wH7N2Nm/

Yep, I agree! Any loss is a good loss!
But thats absolutely fantastic.
They reckon it takes 7000 extra calories to gain a kilo.. whats that?... roughly 25 macca's cheeseburgers?
You just took 25 maccas cheeseburgers off your hips in one week!

| Thanks, I have had some minor surgery on Monday, and really so far have not felt like cooking or really eating anything... I have had some terrible nausea, so really just trying to keep my shakes down... Just trying to drink lots of water to continually flush the pain killers from my system... I really just feel like some vegemite toast and a cup of tea!! any advice??

| U have just had surgery mate- u need any nutrients u can get at the moment and if that means toast- have some! Just dont let ur self go mental on the loaf and eat it all! JOKING. BUt u know what i mean. Allow urself this luxury esp if it settles ur nausea. Ur pain killers might be making u feel sick too! They are number one cause of patients nausea in most patients esp after surgery (im a nurse). MInor surgery can still throw ur body in a spiral or cravings, nausea and other feelings like depression also so just be mindful they can occur. ESP IF U HAD A GENERAL ANAESTHETIC! They can take a few days to get out of system so. Depending on the surgery u may feel like this for a while yet so u just have to allow ur body to recover. The more NUTRITION u get, the quicker it will be. Less nutrients will decrease the bodies ability to heal! Keep multivitamins, fibre and chromium up. Zinc can also help wounds heal if u have some. GET WELL SOON AND JUST FOCUS ON HEALING BEFORE U GET TOO WORRIED ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS... just keep it in the back of ur head in ur food choices!

| Thankyou!! today I woke up feeling better from eye surgery, less nausea, hopefully the aneisthetic and panadeine forte is now out of my system... I definately think this is what was making me feel sick and a little depressed!! I went into my TF branch for my weigh in, and to have a chat to the consultant and I lost 300 grams... Oh, so disappointing! I felt really down about this, and I read your post... thankyou for your support... It is still a loss I guess and hopefully I will have a better week to come... Thanks for the advice about zinc.. would it be benificial for eye surgery??, I have had a lump (pterygium) removed with a graft, I have been told it can take up to a month to heal!!

| Hey kya, congrats on the loss, if you have had surgery of any kind or are ill - your body needs time to recover, so take it easy and dont be too harsh on yourself. I know it sux when you see really low numbers, but if you look at the ones who have reached their goal, a lot of them have only had small losses - but all those small losses do add up to the bigger pic, and it all counts. Look after yourself first, and listen to your body. ohh panadine forte makes me sick - it makes others go off with the fairys and all i do is call god on the big white telephone - so i do understand whre your coming from there also
