Hey The soups/shakes (I looked at the chicken soup and wild berry shake) have slightly more kj's than the munch bars.

The munch bars are awesome - the berry one tastes great... best 'museli' bar Ive eaten - not a fan of the apricot but I hate apricots anyways

hope this helps...

We recommend customers on the Program to consume the Munch bars as an occasional alternative to shakes and soups (3-4 times per week) this is not due to the bars causing any ill effects to health or weight loss in general. Rather for the following reasons:

·         The glycemic index of the bars have not been tested and we cannot guarantee they are as low as shakes. They are likely to have a low to intermediate glycemic index.

·         Several studies have shown good results with weight loss when greater amounts of dairy products were consumed, shakes and soups are dairy based.

·         Shakes and soups are better value for money.

·         Shakes and soups come in a greater variety of flavours.

·         The Munch bars were designed to provide a convenient product that is handy for days when you are on the run.

·         Munch bars are also great for when you want an option that you can crunch. Shakes can also be made into products that can be chewed on such as Banana bread, carrot cake or Apple cinnamon slice (recipes available in the recipe section of our web site).

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

AngelaTF

Oh... crap.

Maybe that's why I haven't been losing weight... I have a shake for brekkie and a munch bar for lunch everyday...

I wish this could be confirmed! My weightloss consultant told me today that she wants to move me to progress because of my stall. Im still very happy on the Weightloss part but maybe it's a good thing... especially with Christmas just around the corner?

Hey guys

i have had really indepth conversations with tf consultants after mally told me that the munchbars were only to be consumed a few times a week.  Mally is right when she has said that angela stated that the gi hasnt been tested (apparently this is a very expensive thing to have done).  Angela put that in an email to me, and its also down in the ask a tf staff member.

However, in saying that i found i was loosing a lot of weight using the munchbars every day, and so did some of the others, but talking to the tf consultants in the stores, they said they do not recommend we have a munchbar every day, however, they went on to say that if we do, and we did notice that we started not loosing weight, they recommended going back to the two shake or shake and soup program again to kickstart the weightloss or going onto progress.

I do like the munchbars, they seem to have less sugar in them then the shakes however they have more energy, and are great when you are on the run (i have them in the car, my bag, kitchen, everywhere).

You can use the munchbars in cooking with the shakes also if you like, i saw a receipe for a custard tart type thing, and you get the munchbar, and you roll it out, and line a cupcake container with it, and make up your shake (vanilla / choc) into a custard, and put it in the fridge - great for a snack or a desert, but if you eat both custard tarts thats both of your tf servings in one go

Ohh and to answer if the munchbars are good - well i actually like them, they arent sickly sweet like musli bars and they are something to actually sink your teeth into - you could also melt a choclette bar and drizzle that over the top of one too if you wanted to have a choc coated one
