where did you find the substitute? i was looking for one the other day inthe stores, i have no doubt it was right in front of me, but i dont know what i was looking for or the name of it.

I have a feeling though, we can use egg whites without having too much impact on our diets - im sure i read it, but will have to ask mally or the tf consultants though

ohh ok, just a thought, i often use tf fibre to bind things in cooking rather then using eggs - would that be helpful to you?

but I have looked it up......

Ingredients
Potato Starch, Tapioca Flour, Vegetable Gum

so on that basis alone I think it may be a no?

here is what I found on it so copy and paste it with your query to staff....

Dear Pokonut,

Thank you for your enquiry. In response to your question, the specific egg substitute that you are enquiring about is a product called Orgran ‘No Egg’ Egg Replacer powder.

Our nutritionist has analysed this specific product and found that for one serving (3g), there is only 39 kJ and 2.5g carbohydrates. There is no fat or protein.

Due to there being no protein, this product can not be used as substitute for protein.

Therefore, we will treat this product as a normal tread as it still contains some kilojoules and carbohydrates. You will be able to use this product no more than three times per week.

Enjoy and please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further enquiries.

Kind regards,

Angela TF

thanks....now to find some recipes......

ps bmum = pokonut ....i keep forgetting my password and must have entered an old one by mistake lol!
