Hi there, first time on the website and just finished my first week and lost 3.2 kilos, very pleased :-) just continuing with the last post about the importance of water..... is it ok to add a little of the no added sugar cordial? cause sometimes it's just a little too hard to force down that water. I know that the 2 ltrs is on top of the diet drinks such as coke and lemonade etc but wasn't sure if it was applicable to cordial as well.
Cheers

Hi Everyone, I have been drinking 2.5 litres a day since I started the TF diet nearly two weeks ago and this morning I was re-introduced to my ankle bones I am diabetic (Type 2) and have suffered from huge swollen ankles for ages now. I feel great now it's as though I have a new lease on life I have also lost 9kgs to date.

I was just wondering before TF I was lucky to drink a glass full of water a day. But what my question is, if a person is not used to drinking so much everyday is it best to just increase the amount everyday as not to shock the body? As I drank water all day today and had some major issues with walking backwards and forwards to the toilet every 10- 15 minutes. Not good as I was at work! Does anyone else have this problem?

| | Hi All - (This is the response from Anna - one of our nutritionists) Drinking excess water can lead to hyponatremia, an electrolyte imbalance. This is due to the excess water you have had being flushed out through your body taking with it essential minerals such as sodium, magnesium and potassium. In severe cases, this can be quite detrimental to your health. Be aware that you can drink too much water and unless you're undergoing prolonged exercise in a heated environment, we recommended that you do not drink more then four litres of water a day. Even four litres can be excessive if you have only a small build.
Kind regards, WoodyB Tony Ferguson Staff |
