Hi everyone,

In the T/F book it says that you can add lime diet cordial to the water.  I hate water because of the area we are in.  I have been mixing it with diet cordial.  Is this ok

Please let it be.

thanks

Helen (hmb)

Brand of diet cordial can make a difference.

Some still use a tiny bit of fruit juice for flavouring, and it might only be 5gm / 100ml carb, but if youre having 500 ml at a time it adds up.

I have learnt that if you have a bad night of eating at an all you can eat restuarant, that you need to up your water intake from 2L to 3L!!! It seems to work for me! I went out twice last week and ate bad food, pasta, potato, rice, deep fried, and dessert, and I still managed to lose 2.3kg!!

on another note, i was drinking my water everyday, and am a bit sick at the moment with flu, sore throat and can't drink water it makes my throat really scratchy so i bought some cordial. golden circle LIGHT fruit cup crush, i should of watched out for the fruit juice part, but i've only been having one of my fruit serves, sometimes none. hope this is alright.

I simply love water.Look at paparazzi photos of those who rely on beautiful skin like professional models. They are always seen with a water bottle. These are people who lose work if their skin is not at their best and if they are not feeling their best.

Hi,

I always drink water at room temperature, as when it is icy cold I end up with a stomach ache.  I also have high blood pressure, so thanks for the information on the kidneys, and ice cold water.  This forum is so informative, I have learnt a lot just by browzing around the different subjects.

Cheers

I absolutely know water is what our bodies need and yet I was thinking the other day, the 2 times in my life I have actually lost a good amount of weight (between 18-20kgs) I didn't increase my water at all.  I probably only had 2 or 3 glasses a day and I was never constipated like I have been the last few months.

... perhaps I would have lost more if I had drunk more water?  but I lost 18kgs in 12 weeks so I'm thinking, probably not.

Quite an interesting thing the humble water bottle. I've begun to love it and drink heaps of water these days, but I just thought I'd throw an interesting spanner into the conversation and say ... if energy in is less than energy out - we will lose regardless.

I don't think I actually hold alot of fluid retention either as when I joined TF they sold me diuretics at my first consultation (now I think about it that was weird!).  And my consultant said I'd probably lose 3kg just by taking those in the first week... well I didn't, I lost about 1.3kgs in my first week on TF because I DONT have water retention.

Anyway, that's my thought on water today :O)

Water increases more energy levels in your body,if we drink enough water. It's no accident that every diet program I've read and tried included instructions on adding water...if only I'd paid attention. By adding oxygen to your system, water gives you energy to burn, speeding your metabolism, improving your mood and making it easier to be more active.

If you've ever taken fiber supplements without the required water, you know fiber, by itself, isn't helpful to your diet. In fact, without the water, fiber can cause constipation by soaking up the water already in your system. Without added water, fiber is a thickening and hardening agent.Fiber doesn't work without water, water is necessary to reduce the fats, cholesterols and toxins .So duet to water diet we can reduce our weight.
