I lost 7 kgs with TF but decided to join a gym to increase my fitness and tone up. The gym told me to stop TF as I had no energy and to introduce carbs back to my diet

Started back on TF again two days ago, as I have increased my weight by 2 kgs of fat, and I feel really ashamed of myself. Does anyone else have lack of energy or no sex drive while on TF.

Hi there. I can understand how frustrated you must be, but this is what you need to do, in my opinion. Choose a diet that you want to follow and stick to it. There are many other diets out there that will make you loose weight. Certainly the exercise and good eating will do that. I was once 105kgs in highschool and I lost the whole 35kgs by doing diet and exercise, but it was a long, long, long process and I just couldn't do it again this time around. I wanted something fast/easy and that suited me. So I started the TF diet. The whole training at the gym and eating clean carbs is a lot of preparation for me, being a new mum and I just know that it would be too hard to organise myself to be doing it that way again. When I was single and life was easier it was a breeze to cook/prepare and get myself to the gym before work everyday.

So, just decide which way you want to go and don't listen to anyone else. One thing I have noticed with this diet is that there are many sceptics and lots of negativity out there.

Good luck, with whichever way you choose to go

Hi chocolateaddict

I have been on TF for about 13 weeks now (with 10 days off whilst on holidays). I was not a gym goer before this but I have been going to the gym for the past 7 weeks and am loving it. I usually go six days a week - 1 hour cardio and a weights/exercise program 3 days a week and have had pretty good results with my weight (12 kg loss plus 5 kg before TF), measurements and fitness. Even my program trainer is impressed. I may be not losing as fast as others but I am really happy with how my body is responding.

I don't have any problems with fatigue but you may need to juggle your meals around dependent on when you got to the gym. I usually have my shake about an hour before I exercise and have a piece of fruit or dried apricots after.

TF staff have suggested to some people on this forum that they have an extra protein snack (either a boiled egg or small can tuna/salmon) on the days they go to the gym if fatigue is a problem. But I guess it depends on how heavily you work out otherwise it may impact your weight loss.

Hope this helps

Tracey

Gotta love those gym people - I keep telling myself I should go but I am finding my 3/4 hr fast walk everynight is doing the trick for now.  Are you taking a multi vitimin with the diet - I don't know if it is the multi vitimin, the less 10kg or just the healthy eating but I am finding that my energy levels have tripled and my sex drive is substancially improved.

Whatever you decide to do good luck!!

Thank you for all your reply!! I'm trying to stick it out and lose this weight. I find when I'm busy walking around the block or even window shopping at the local mall I can forget the hunger feeling. Where as being home, I'm the opposite and will nibble on things.

Thanks again

Linda

Talk to the TF people because they do advise exercise yes BUT LIGHT exercise.  Having said that, everyone is different but if you are going to do a heavy Gym Workout...you may need an increase of Protien to counter balance everything...something your gym "destructor" may not have told you.  I could be wrong, but I think that is one of the reasons they have those little protein bars at the TF clinic

Dear Chocolateaddict,

Welcome back to the program! May I suggest drinking your 2 litres of water each day, this will help flush out toxins as your body enters the fat burning process. Taking a multivitamin will increase your energy levels as well. If you are still going to the gym, depending on the level of exercise that you are doing you may require extra protein. Please contact our Customer Support Centre on 1800 612 644 and we can advise you on this matter or any further questions you may have regarding the program.
