Well i have just stopped doing the Ultra Slim shakes and yes it was hard to measure out the correct amount everytime you had a shake.. And oh my god talk about a mad headache for over 2 weeks, and after talking to the TF lady i was found i needed more protein and my MBI  is over 40 so i needed the plan for over 40 BMI and i am hoping that it makes a difference in how i feel i know it will take a week or 2 but i cant wait for the results to start showing....

I think TF is very cheap. People just don't add up the overall benefits, or the cost of the stuff they used to eat.

Yep, I couldn't agree more. I'm coming up to 3 weeks on TF (gee it's gone fast!), and quite a few people have commented on how expensive it is. This includes a girl who has just signed up for Weight Watchers, which (in my opinion) is more of a money-grabbing croc than TF ever will be! I think that the amount WW charge to join up (can't remember how much, other than it being significantly more than TF), then paying $15 a week or whatever it is now to stand on the scales and hear a pep talk, then having to buy "normal" food - works out to a lot more than any of us TF-ers would be spending. I wouldn't go as far as saying TF is cheaper than I was spending before, but with not buying pasta/rice/bread/muffins/smallgoods/cheese/potato/pumpkin/juice/alcohol/yogurt/icecream/snacks etc etc etc it's comparable.

Ultraslim is also grainy and tastes like there is too much sweetener in it, from the few flavours that I have used, TF is a signifigant improvement to using ultraslim and optifast.

Hi All,

I used ultra slim when i first lost my weight over two years ago after the birth of my daughter. It was good because i lost nearly 50 kilos in 3 months.

But...

I also lost half my hair and that was becuase of the rapid weight loss! @ the time i was walking. Im very upset to this day that i used ultra slim! Some of my hair has come back

However this diet is fantastic and now my mum is addicted to it

WOW!  50kgs in 3 months is just tooooo fast!  I take it you weren't eating much else other than shakes.  My god that couldn't have been good for you.

I've never tried these shakes, but I've heard they don't taste so good.  To be honest, over the years I've tried a variety of shake kind meal replacements and they've all been vile up until now.  I like that TF shakes don't taste like some weird supplement.

Hi Sandradee,

What happened i was having my two shakes (b/fast & Lunch) and my dinner meal which is similar to what im eating now. Thats it.

I was also walking nearly every day @ the time as well. My doctors thought it was great (losing the weight) because i was similar weight i am now when i had my last child.

There was the question that the birth of my second daughter had somthing to do with it, but my first born was a very bad labour and nothing happened (losing weight, hair etc).

I am new here and am interested in this topic. I used a product that I bought from TVSN called "Iso Whey" on the net and lost a lot of weight quite easily. I have started TF this week and am not sure that this is for me. Iso Whey is similar to TF and looks better on paper.

                   Iso Whey                 TF

                     per 100g

KJ                  1439                    1640

Sat fats           2.8                       2.1

Carbs               14.0                    58.5

Protein            49.4                     28.8

This has made me think twice about TF. The cost of  Iso whey is about  $50.00 per 640g and it is very tasty.

I can do it!! The power of positive thinking will get me there!

I was never a fan of 'shake' meal replacements.  I've tried Herbalife and that was just VILE!

TF Shakes at least taste great - although, I only liked the Espresso  but that's because I don't have a really sweet tooth
